Veterinary Assistant/ Technician

About this role
This is an advanced clinical assistant position with real responsibility. Experience is preferred. We are also open to someone newer who is driven, eager to learn, and looking to grow their career here at Family Pet Hospital.

What you will do:
- Perform technician appointments independently
- Assist doctors in exam rooms and help communicate treatment plans to clients
- Perform treatments on patients as directed
- Support sedation and minor procedures
- Run in-house diagnostics including blood draws, urinalysis, SNAP tests, and ear cytologies
- Place IV catheters and prepare and dispense medications
- Take and submit diagnostic radiographs
- Mentor and support newer clinical teammates
Pay and benefits:
$22.00–$26.00/hr based on experience
