Welcome Dr. Rebecca Cross

Family Pet Hospital is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Rebecca Cross to the medical staff. A graduate of Texas A&M, Dr. Cross brings nearly fifteen years of experience to Family Pet Hospital. Sharing a passion for emergency medicine and surgery, Dr. Cross and Dr. Abernathy met at an emergency animal hospital in Northern Colorado and became fast friends. After leaving the emergency hospital and practicing general veterinary medicine for a few years, Dr. Cross found herself at Heska Laboratories assisting veterinarians all over the state in diagnosing rare and difficult cases. Ready to be out of the lab and involved in hands-on patient care, Dr. Cross is thrilled to start offering exceptional care to the patients and provide exemplary customer service to the clients of Family Pet Hospital. She brings a wealth of knowledge in regards to holistic pain management, such as laser therapy and acupuncture, along with a deep understanding of allergies and dermatology. In addition to her duties at Family Pet Hospital, Dr. Cross will continue to offer mobile veterinary services to the families and animals of Northern Colorado.

In her free-time, Dr. Cross enjoys spending time with her husband Carl and their two children, hiking, skiing, gardening, playing piano and singing. She is also mom to two dogs, Tipsy and Biscuit and a formerly feral cat named Velcro.
